Here's another end-of-the-world film that seeks to mix the supernatural with the scientific and created a scary premise for the apocalypse. It's called “The Remaining” and it basically deals with Judgment Day or something very similar. The bottom line is that the world as we know it comes to an abrupt and brutal end.

The tagline for the film sums up the action perfectly, “There are worse things worse than death.” Interestingly, the end of the world clip seems to follow the biblical description of the end days. The whole process is presented to us through the eyes of a young group of friends who had come together for a wedding.

The film is co-written and directed by Casey La Scala who motivates the grim view with his wish to present a global paranormal phenomenon, so powerful that it could end modern society.

The film is scheduled to be released in American cinemas on September 5. The main cast is made up of Alexa Vega, Shaun Sipos, Bryan Dechart and Johnny Pacar. The trailer below offers little in terms of details relating to what causes the apocalypse, but we're led to believe that it has something with the Bible.
