14 DAY TRIAL // Windows Phone fans living in the UK or Ireland will be happy to know that Nokia and Clove have teamed up to offer a promotional deal to those who want to switch to a better smartphone.
The UK-based retailer has just announced that all customers that purchase the Nokia Lumia 625, Lumia 1020, Lumia 1320 or Lumia 1520 by June 30 will receive a free application voucher worth £54 (€65 / $90).
The free voucher can be used to purchase of certain applications and games available in Windows Phone Store. As we have mentioned earlier, the promotional offer has been confirmed to run between April 14 and June 30.
However, according to Clove UK, these free vouchers are only available while stocks last, which means that if you plan on taking advantage of this offer and you don’t hurry up, you might not receive the £54 app voucher.
In addition, the offer is only available in the UK and Ireland for residents of at least 18 years old. It is also worth mentioning that customers will not be able to combine the app voucher value with any other payment method of purchase.
If you are one of the new owners of the Lumia 625, Lumia 1020, Lumia 1320 or Lumia 1520 and you are eligible for this promotion, here is how you can redeem it.
Simply open your Lumia smartphone and head over directly to the Nokia Collection in the Windows Phone Store to download the Gift Voucher app. Furthermore, customers should make sure they register before July 14, as Nokia has confirmed that it will not accept any claims after this date.
Last but not least, Clove UK says that once redeemed, users have exactly 180 days to use the Gift Card Code, after which any unused funds will expire.
As many of you might have noticed, the deal only applies to Windows Phone 8 devices. Nokia is expected to launch three new Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones in the Lumia series, but they will only start coming next month.
Windows Phone 8 users will be given the option to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system, namely Windows Phone 8.1, sometime this summer.
However, those who want to experience the new features included in Windows Phone 8.1 can download the Developer Preview, assuming they already have an App Studio account. Still, this is not the final version of the operating system, which is expected to arrive in the coming months.
