Get Your SackBoy Creation into LittleBigPlanet

Media Molecule announce the launch of a contest which is aimed at choosing three SackBoy costumes that will be offered for free in LittleBigPlanet. There will be one SackBoy or SackGirl chosen for North America, one for Europe and one for Japan; the deadline seems to be September 30, at least for the North American part of the contest.

The rules for the Japanese and the European portions of the game have not been announced yet, but they will likely be pretty similar to those of the North American contest, which have been unveiled.

If you want to win, you need to download the blank SackBoy template which is featured in the picture that accompanies the post and which is available on the Media Molecule website. After that, you can use any method you like to make it look prettier. You can use Photoshop to enhance it, you can print the picture out to draw over it by hand and then scan it back into the computer; you can also add images taken from other games on the template.

The announcement regarding the contest says that “We're looking for imaginative and interesting ideas with a splash of SackBoy's endearing charm that suit the look and feel of LittleBigPlanet. So it doesn't matter if you're not a Photoshop expert; if your clothing concept is just a great idea, it will still be in with a good chance of winning! Just one piece of advice: Be sure to avoid teeny-tiny details in your design as these may not be visible in-game”.

Your SackBoy needs to be sent with your full name, your date of birth and PlayStation Network ID to the address playstation_community_support@playstation.sony.com, with the subject reading “My SackBoy Costume”.
