14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just unveiled a new theme for Windows 7 and Windows 8 workstations, allowing users to customize their desktops with winter-inspired wallpapers.
The so-called “Ice Castles” theme comprises photos from Sweden and Canada and can be downloaded for free by users of the aforementioned two Windows flavors. The theme supports both 32- and 64-bit versions of the operating system.
Installation is as easy as it could be, so a simple double-click on the theme file automatically deploys all wallpapers on your computer and brings up the desktop customization screen.
“The crystalline turrets, frozen chandeliers, and translucent walls in this free Windows theme appear to be from a fairytale captured in ice,” Microsoft said, trying to emphasize that this particular theme perfectly matches the winter season.
