MSI showcases a new laptop designed for gaming purposes, dubbed GT685, seemingly the smaller brother of top-drawer model presented yesterday, the MSI GT783.

Just like the more hardcore model, the MSI GT685 is powered by a 2nd generation Sandybridge Intel Core i7 CPU, able to deliver enough processing power to let you enjoy the latest gaming titles.

The motherboard can accommodate up to 32GB DDR3 (1333MHz) while the 15.6 display comes in 2 "flavours": HD, 1366 x 768 for GT685, and Full HD, 1920 x 1080, for the GT685R versions.

One the visuals side, this notebook comes loaded with a top-notch Nvidia GTX 580M graphics board with 2GB GDDR5, running 4 256-bit channels and making sure you get the best from your movies or games alike.

A Bluray optical drive and Dynaudio HD speakers/ subwoofer further enforce the multimedia devices array present in the MSI GT685. HD webcam, 2 USB 3.0 ports and eSATA connectivity are also among the standard features.

You can choose between a traditional HDD storage configuration or a mixed one, comprising an 120GB SSD as the primary disc, backed by an HDD. And as usual, in case you need the drivers for the MSI GT685 gaming notebook, you can always find  and download them for free from Softpedia.
