V-Moda has something special in store

Today I found out that, to my amazement, Apple's (PRODUCT) RED iPod is not something as unique as I thought. Of course this is still the only (PRODUCT) RED portable music player on the market, but... there's much more to this, so let me tell you a few things about the Product Red, before moving to my subject.

Product RED is a brand licensed to partner companies such as Apple Inc., Motorola or Giorgio Armani, and it all started from an initiative coming from U2's Bono and Bobby Shriver, Arnold Schwarzenegger's brother-in-law. Its aim is to raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The way this scheme works is simple - the partner companies create products having the Product RED logo, and in return for the opportunity to increase their revenue through the products they sell, a percentage of the profit is given to the Global Fund mentioned earlier. A really good initiative, don't you think?

Now that we know what this Product RED is all about, let's get to our apples, as usual. Obviously, it's about the Product RED iPod, since V-Moda just released the Red Roxx VIBE noise-isolating earphones, a model that fits perfectly your iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition.

Providing "a precise balance of rich bass, warm mids and unprecedented clarity", these red earphones are available exclusively from the Apple stores and at V-Moda's website, being priced at 101$. This price doesn't have to scare you, because these are the lightest earphones in the class, with only 12 grams and feature durable cables optimized for sport, handmade premium metal craftsmanship and come with a gold leather pouch for storage and the modawrap cable manager for easy cable management.

Also compatible with the Zune and all CD/DVD players and computers, these earphones have a frequency response of 12 Hz - 22 kHz, an impedance of 16 ohms and a sensitivity of 92dB at 1kHz and 1mW, while the rated input power value is 2mW.
