Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, a remastered version of the classic game launched back in 1997, has just received a Linux version.

The Linux version of the game was confirmed some time ago by the appearance of the Shadow Warrior Classic Redux entry in the CDR database, but the developers from General Arcade have made things a little bit more official.

Whoever purchased the game on the other available platforms, either Windows or Mac OS, now has access to the Beta version. The launch has been accompanied by a small forum announcement.

“To try it out you need to opt to 'Public Beta'. Feedback is highly appreciated. One bug: music is not playing, but it will be fixed soon,” reads the post from one of the General Arcade developers.

There's no word on an official launch date for the Linux platform, but the sooner the developers fix the bungs, the better for the open-source fans.
