Trine 2: Complete Story, a 2D platformer built by the Frozenbyte studio, is now available on Steam for Linux with a huge 90% discount.

This edition of Trine 2: Complete Story features the all-new unlockable Dwarven Caverns level that takes the player on a journey through deep and dark lava-filled tunnels resonating with ancient legends and the Goblin Menace.

“Trine 2 is a sidescrolling game of action, puzzles and platforming where you play as one of Three Heroes who make their way through dangers untold in a fantastical fairytale world. Join Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight and Zoya the Thief in their adventure full of friendship, magic and betrayal,” reads the official website.

We reviewed Trine 2 a while ago and found out that it was one of the best games to have arrived on the Linux platform so far.

Trine 2: Complete Story now comes with an 90% discount on Steam, for €1.69 ($2.35) and the promotion will last for a little over 24 hours.

The system requirements for the Linux platform are also quite accessible: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, a 2.2 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2400 or NVIDIA GeForce 7600 or better, and 2.5 GB of HDD space.
