Many of you thought that the tears of joy you cried at the end of “Toy Story 3,” when Buzz and Woody said goodbye to Andy, were the last you were going to shed for these characters, but you thought wrong, because the producers of the franchise have just announced that they plan to come out with a fourth animation.

The announcement was made by writer and director of the first three movies in the franchise, John Lasseter. He is quoted by Us Weekly as saying that “We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before.”

It turns out that, for a long time, even the team involved in making the movie thought that they had tied up the story quite nicely too, but soon the director got a new idea and everyone else quickly got on board and was excited enough about it that they are now making a fourth sequel.

At this point, it's still too early in the production process, and actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen have not confirmed their participation in the project as cowboy Woody and space ranger Buzz Lightyear. But the general consensus is that both of them will be back if the story is as good as the director promises it to be.

It's probably going to revolve around a new kid since in the last movie Andy went off to college and donated his toys to a young girl named Bonnie. Raise your hands if you didn't cry during that final scene and you get a free lollipop.
