Discover the greatness of the talking shovel

Atlus USA is coming with a really interesting game concept for the Nintendo DS handheld: a RPG in which you will have to design your dungeons which will be automatically filled with monsters, depending on the complexity level of your design. Doesn't that sound incredibly cool?

Under the motto "Dream it, design it, dig it", Master of the Monster Lair offers you a talking shovel as companion (it will also do all the digging for you) and the chance to become a true dungeon architect. Level after level, every monster disposed of offers the promise of new weapons and items, allowing more unique dungeon designs and more efficient means to kill them.

The game takes us in the quiet town of South Arc, when a monster problem arises: all sorts of strange creatures have infested the nearby forests and are now starting to move into the village. You are just a young guy that had nothing to do with this life and was probably going to be eaten by the monsters as soon as possible. However, when you find a talking shovel, you are bound with the divine task of digging dungeons and trapping monsters inside. There are even worse jobs, trust me!

The DS exclusive Master of the Monster Lair will, of course, fully support the stylus and it promises to bring countless hours of fun to its buyers. And, in order to make the game even more enjoyable, Atlus allows you to challenge your friends to reach the end of your custom monster lair and see what monsters and items are waiting in theirs. You can trade designs over local wireless and prove that you're the best dungeon digger around - and we all know that a bit of competition in a RPG game is everything we need to get started.
