Get Ready for Sin City in Midway's “This is Vegas”

Midway seems to know very well what people really want from a game: an open world, freedom, a great story and some superb characters. Add to these a great lifestyle action experience that will allow you to drive, fight, gamble and party like a rock star in Sin City and you already have an idea how will the next title from Midway, This is Vegas will look like. Great and quite promising, we would say.

The game will be developed by the Seattle-based studio, Surreal and it promises to bring everybody all the decadent life you could think of in an action packed, most likely Mature title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as PC systems, sometime during this Winter.

"We are thrilled to be unveiling the first-ever videogame experience which allows players to live out their wildest Vegas fantasies," said Alan Patmore, studio head, Surreal. "Whether it's partying in the hottest night clubs, racing in underground circuits, testing your luck at the tables or getting into a barroom brawl, This is Vegas has it all."

And indeed it seems to have it all – and a pretty nice story, "no-strings-attached"-like. A powerful businessman begins turning the Sin City into a family friendly tourist trap. You, the main character, decide to resurrect the adult playground by building your own empire. But since these kind of things are never easy to achieve, you will have to party at the hottest clubs and make the so necessary VIP connections, gamble obscene amounts of money in casinos, take part in underground races and fight off those poor souls that get in your way. Even though it's just a speculation, I see this promising title as a combination between Playboy: The Mansion, Need For Speed and Grand Theft Auto. I would sooo love to be right!
