According to leaked images of Eee PC roadmap

By now, almost everybody has gotten used to the idea that ASUS is really enthusiastic about its Eee family, which can be easily explained by the high number of Eee PC models the Taiwanese manufacturer is currently offering. But even with its already vast Eee PC offering, the company is yet to release additional models. In fact, at some point, ASUS will be ready to offer costumers a choice of 23 Eee PC models, so there's probably going to be one that will be able to meet all your requirements.

Yes, you read that right. According to a leaked photo of a slide, received by the Chinese Engadget, 23 Eee PCs will be released, with all of them being targeted at three different types of users. According to the pictured roadmap, we should expect an "extreme Slim and Light" Eee PC, which will come as part of the company's S-series. The S101 and S91 models will probably be meant to compete with Dell's E Slim netbook, or with one of Toshiba's upcoming products.

As noted above, the roadmap was divided in three categories: Ultimate (with the two S-series models), PRO Fashion, and Smart Casual. The last will include the most models, some of which will be based on the 7-inch form factor that made the Eee PC famous. The PRO Fashion category will include four new models: 1000HV, 1002SA, 1002HA and T101, all of which will probably sport a 10-inch LCD display.

For the time being, we can't really say which will be the main features that will differentiate each one of the vendor's netbooks. However, as already mentioned above, ASUS is clearly planning additional models designed to compete with all the new netbooks that have been announced by various manufacturers. Then again, ASUS is known for offering no less than 50 models of notebooks, so it's probably doing the same thing with the Eee Family as well.
