Since December last year, Miley Cyrus has been on a journey to transforming herself through Pilates. She's been in the gym several times a week and on a gluten-free diet, and the results are quite startling. You too can get her toned abs with the new DVD workout now available.

Fans of the actress and singer will know that she's been working out with Mari Winsor, a Pilates guru recommended to her by her own mother, who also uses this workout to stay in shape.

Winsor is now coming out with a DVD workout meant to help others get the same results as Miley, without even having to leave the comfort of their own home.

It's called “Lower Body Pilates” and Winsor promises in a recent interview with FitSugar that it will pay off.

“Her mother had done Winsor Pilates, and when Miley wanted to do Pilates, her mom recommended me. Her results are due to her commitment, hard work, and everyday workouts,” Winsor says.

“I believe what attracts all stars to Pilates is that it's safe, effective, and the results are very fast when done correctly,” she adds.

Indeed, that last part seems to be accurate where Miley is concerned: in only a few months, not only did she tone up, but she also lost about 20 pounds (9.07 kg) and she's managed to maintain her figure ever since.

The new DVD focuses, as its very name implies, on the lower body or what Winsor likes to call the “rear view,” by including exercises that work the backside, the hips, the glutes, the inner and outer thigs and, of course, the abdomen.

“Miley is a fan of all Pilates exercises, in particular those that sculpt the abs. In Pilates, every exercise that you do is focused on your abs, or as we call it in Pilates, your powerhouse. The 100, the double leg stretch, and the criss-cross are all crucial to sculpting your abs,” Winsor explains.
