Microsoft is delivering free copies of Windows Vista Release Candidate 1 and the 2007 Office Professional Beta 2. The Redmond Company has announced the availability of the Windows Vista Demo[ADMAR=1] Readiness Toolkit free of charge containing both Vista RC1 and Office Professional Beta 2.

"Do you have a product that runs on Windows Vista that you'd like to showcase to potential customers? We now offer the Demo Readiness Toolkit (DRT) for Windows Vista, which helps you build the skills needed to effectively demo your application on Windows Vista to your customers. The DRT is a way for you to create customized demonstrations that highlight your product and Windows Vista at the same time. You don't need a dedicated demonstration PC to do this -- the DRT allows you to exhibit your demo on your own PC instead," revealed Nick White, Microsoft Product Manager.

According to Microsoft, the product is dedicated to company partners, but the fact of the matter is that you can access the DRT even if you are not a Microsoft Partner. The Vista Demo Readiness Toolkit also contains a consistent selection of sample documents, demo files, sample applications and all resources necessary in order to back an environment designed to present and underline your work.

"You can also build a demo script for consumer or business scenarios that, for example, underscore Windows Vista's advances in say, parental controls or network management, respectively. Using the DRT is a process that works; I know, because we have an internal version of the DRT that is available to anyone working at MS who wants to give a demonstration of Windows Vista, and I've used our internal version myself, many times," White added.
