Summertime is great for you to start your next adventure and if you have always wanted to try learning how to draw, this is your chance to have a go while Apple is buying. Sketchbook Mobile has all the right tools for you to get started and then try the desktop apps from Autodesk.

SketchBook Mobile is Apple's free app of the week and it is described as a professional-grade painting and drawing app made for iPod touch and iPhone. The user will experience the same paint engine as its desktop counterpart. SketchBook Mobile has all the tools an artist may need: fluid pencils, sophisticated brushes and a really simple and easy-to-use interface. It doesn't matter if you want to capture a doodle or create a masterpiece on the go.

The app lets you use the entire screen as a blank canvas. However, when you need to zoom, you get to go as deep as 2500 percent zoom. There are 65 preset brushes, pencils, pens and markers that will get you that natural drawing experience you look for on a small device. And your imagination has no limit because you can actually customize those brushes selecting the brush radius, opacity or rotation.

If you need to create a predefined shape, you can use their feature called Dynamic Symmetry and you can go deep into the layers by transforming them to your will. The canvases have customizable sizes and you can always save your work to the Photo Library or email the resulting images. If you want to sync your drawings, you can always use iCloud to do just that.
