Making money on the web is an easy thing. The best part about it is that you don't even have to leave the comfort of your home, like the rest of us that go to work. Basically, there are two ways in which you can make money on the web: legal and illegal. Of course, the illegal way will put you into jail nice and easy.

This "how to get busted" tutorial is based on a true story from Ghana. Here's what you have to do: the first thing is to build a fake site that resembles an important one. Then, you have to get people to believe that they are sending money to the original site, but instead make them send it to you. In the third step you don't have to do anything more, you have already committed a fraud, and the Police will notice it and send you straight to jail. Pretty efficient way to get arrested, if you ask me!

Now, here's what actually happened in Ghana. I've gotten this from GhanaWeb: two guys, by the name of Igbokwe Ogbonna and Theodocia Buaben have developed fake websites of renowned companies and of the Ministry of Interior, advertised for recruitment into those organizations and later directed the successful applicants to pay various amounts of dollars into an account for the processing of their resident and work permits by the Ministry of the Interior.

They've already been nabbed by the Police, and by now, Cal Bank Limited, as well as Ghana International Airlines and Unique Trust Financial Services have seen fake websites that were cloning their own original ones.

Site cloning is an old method of web-based scamming and in some cases it has given results, while in other situations it just got the hackers busted. In any case, efficient or not, please do not take this into consideration and if you are using the Web to make money, then choose the legal way.
