Amnesia: The Dark Descent, one of the most terrifying FPS games ever released, can now be purchased on Steam for Linux with a substantial discount.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is developed by Frictional Games, a studio known for their mastery of the horror genre. Players will have to survive in a dark castle that challenges the psyche of the gamer with pure fear.

According to the developers, the game can run on a variety of operating systems, including Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Mint 13 LTS, and Fedora 16.

The minimum requirements for this game are quite low: 2.0 GHz processor (low budget CPUs such as Celeron or Duron need to be at about twice this speed), 2 GB RAM memory, Radeon X1000 or GeForce 6 video cards, and 3 GB of hard drive space.

More details about this game can be found on the official Steam website.
