Not long ago, one of the most well-known faces on MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, was saying that, for him, the reality show was just a launching pad as he had no plans of remaining a reality star for ever. Music and feature films are apparently his strong suits, but, at the same time, The Situation is also gearing up to take the world of fitness by storm.

The Situation is famous for coining the GTL (gym, tan & laundry) phrase, but he’s also getting plenty of coverage and attention from the ladies for his chiseled body, which he wastes no opportunity of showing off. Now, all those men out there who want definition like The Situation’s can just sit patiently and wait for the release of his workout DVD. According to the New York Post, he’s already hard at work on it.

“If you’ve ever wanted to look just as ripped as Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, here’s your chance. The ‘Jersey Shore’ star is releasing a workout DVD so his fans can get their own abdominal situation. He shot the video in New Jersey the other day with GT Media. Sources tell us the ‘intense total-body workout’ includes a ‘bonus abs’ section. No word yet if he also has tips on applying hair gel, hitting on women or getting that special orange-glow tan,” the Post jokes.

As of now, no release date for the workout DVD has yet been announced but since these things don’t usually take a lot of time and given that word has it The Situation has already shot the video, chances are it won’t be long until it arrives. In the meantime, Sorrentino’s fans can look forward to more projects from him, perhaps even a starring role in a feature film or a musical collaboration with Enrique Iglesias, for whose video Sorrentino did a cameo and who would simply love to release a track with him.

“Enrique Iglesias may have a ‘Situation’ on his hands. The singer, who recently featured the entire Jersey Shore cast in his music video ‘I Like It,’ is a fan of the MTV show. So could a collaboration with reality star turned rapper Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino be next? ‘I wouldn’t mind it,’ Iglesias told us when asked about possibly working with Sorrentino, who recently released his own fist-pumping single, titled ‘The Situation.’ ‘I mean, a lot of it comes down to the song, but it would be fun!’ The Latin hottie said,” E! wrote a short while ago, as we also reported.
