It really seems that Sony's gunning for a top spot in the headphones' market for 2011, given the fact that the Japanese company has been rolling out quite a large number of products of this type over the past couple of months, the latest we've come across being the MDR-RF865RK Wireless Headphone.

The first product we'll talk about as follows, namely Sony's MDR-RF865RK headphones, are most likely designed for people who want to move around the house while listening to their favorite music, given the fact that they pack a rechargeable battery and offer quite an impressive wireless range, of up to 100 meters.

And since we're on the topic of the transmitter, it's also interesting to note that the wireless modulation type employed by Sony's new headphones is FM stereo / 3 channel, the transmitter itself being rather easy to carry around, given the fact that it measures 120 x 264 x 120 mm and weighs around 470 grams.

The headphones also feature a 40mm driver units and a relatively good frequency response (10-22,000 Hz), delivering good quality audio throughout all music ranges, at least according to what Sony's got the say on the matter.

Furthermore, the MDR-RF865RK wireless headphones are accompanied by a conveniently-mounted volume control, as well as an elegant docking station, that recharges the built-in batteries within just around 2.5 hours, enabling them to then provide up to 25 hours of uninterrupted listening time.

Plus, in order to save more power, the headphones also turn off automatically when placed back in the charging dock.

As usual, Sony's informing providing us with some availability details for the new MDR-RF865RK Wireless Headphone, pointing out that they'll go on sale across Europe at some point in April 2011, but, unfortunately, they're not offering any info on the pricing (it will most likely depend on the specifics of the local markets).
