Video game developer EA Sports has announced that a simulation run on the FIFA 12 title with the Euro 2012 downloadable content shows that Germany will win the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship.

The German team will beat the Netherlands 2 to 1 at the Olympic Stadium on July 1, in Kyiv, in order to secure the European trophy and get their fourth win in the prestigious competition.

The FIFA 12 simulated final starts with a strike from Robin Van Persie, who continues his excellent form from the regular season to pick up the top goal scorer award with give goals.

But Germany manages to keep its composure and then strike back, with Mesut Ozil of Real Madrid pegging the two sides level before Mario Gomez demonstrates that he can handle the big games and wins the match for the German team.

EA Sports says that Germany will win all its group games and will take a nervous 1-0 victory over Italy in the semifinals.

Spain, the current European champion, will apparently be defeated in the semis to the Netherlands because of their defensive problems while England will beat expectations and get through the group phase only to be eliminated in the quarter finals.

The various FIFA football titles from EA Sports have a rather spotty history when it comes to predicting important results, but the team has managed to accurately decide that Spain would pick up the World Championship in 2010.

The Madden NFL series has better track record and has managed to pick seven of the teams that have won the Super Bowl during the last nine editions.

Players who are uncomfortable with the simulated results can get both FIFA 12 and the Euro DLC in order to pick their own team and rewrite future history and make their favorite the European champions.
