The development team at EA Sports announces that it has simulated the upcoming real-world 2014 FIFA World Cup competition using the match engine that powers its own simulated 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil title on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 and it currently predicts that Germany will win the trophy.

The studio says that on July 13, the German team will face off against Brazil in the final on the Estadio de Maracana and will manage to take the game 2 to 1 in order to become the first European team that wins the competition in South America.

The company has also created an official site where gamers can test their own theories about the World Cup in order to see how their favorite teams are performing.

EA Sports has used its video game engine to also predict that the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball trophies will be taken home by Neymar da Silva Santos Junior from Brazil, with 6 goals in the tournament.

The best goal of the entire competition was scored by Andres Iniesta, from Spain, during his team’s encounter with England.

The game for the third place in Brazil involved Portugal, which was finally defeated by Spain by 3 goals to 1.

Brazil had a hard time in the simulated semi-finals, where it only managed to score one goal against Portugal, while Germany faced tough competition from Spain, which it only defeated after penalty kicks.

The defeated teams in the quarterfinals include: Uruguay, Nigeria, England and Argentina.

The round of 16 also included appearances from: Netherlands, Ivory Coast, France, Russia, Mexico, Ecuador, Belgium and Colombia.

It’s unclear whether the EA Sports created simulation can be trusted, considering that it was made using the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil engine, which uses older technology than the Ignite tech that powers the game on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

At the moment, gamers can use the free World Cup content for the game, both in the Kick-Off and the Ultimate Team modes, in order to take their favorite teams and lead them to glory.

EA Sports has promised that it will deliver a roster update for the title in order to make sure that the players of all included teams are well simulated before the real-world competition debuts next week.

A new FIFA title should be out in late September of this year.
