14 DAY TRIAL // Although since the launch of the movie that put him on the A-list, “300,” he’s been linked to more famous women than other actors would get to date in a lifetime, Gerard Butler says we shouldn’t always believe what they say in the media about him. Usually a very discrete person, the Scottish actor has agreed to speak out on his love life which is, according to his own words, not half as glamorous as we’re led to believe.
If we’re to believe what we read in celebrity magazines, Gerard has dated plenty of gorgeous starlets, from Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston, and Naomi Campbell to, more recently, Paris Hilton. Then again, if we’re to lend an ear to what Butler is saying, then perhaps not even half of what is written and said in the media about him is not true.
“Guys take a photograph of me speaking to someone and, apparently, I am having an affair with her.” the actor told the Sunday Mail. Summed up, this would mean plenty of affairs, which, again, would be impossible because it would leave him unable to handle other stuff, like work, as well. “I’m having 10 affairs a day. It would be just too exhausting and I’m not that sort of guy.” Gerard further explained.
Less than a month ago, word in the blogosphere had it that Gerard was dating non other than socialite extraordinaire Paris Hilton, with whom he was photographed out partying and apparently smooching in some bar. Of course, if what he’s saying now is true, then it means that whatever we might have thought he had with Paris is nothing but a fabrication.
Yet, several e-zines are saying that Paris is still not over the brief fling with Gerard. “Paris Hilton has forgotten all about ex-boyfriend Benji Madden - after falling head over heals in love with Scottish actor Gerard Butler, it has been claimed. ‘The Simple Life’ star split from Good Charlotte rocker Benji in November last year after several months of dating.” writes Sunday People via ShowbizSpy. The Sunday People even has an inside source to back this up, who says that, “Since [Paris] met him she has forgotten all about Benji. It’s early days, but Paris is quite smitten.”
