The trial of George Zimmerman for the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin is ending, as the defense makes its closing arguments today.

According to Fox News, the defense team has begun its final arguments by reiterating that Zimmerman has shot Martin in self-defense.

They have encouraged the jury not to fill in the blanks in the very publicized murder trial, instead focus on the facts.

“He’s not guilty of anything but protecting his own life," attorney Mark O'Mara said in his statement.

As I mentioned, the prosecution has already closed its case and the jury will probably start deliberating today.

Meanwhile, the chief of police handling Zimmerman's arrest has come forward to admit that he was pressured into charging someone from the crime. When he refused, he was fired.
