Trayvon Martin's shooter is suing the NBC network for making him look like a "hostile racist," TMZ reports. NBC aired their version of the 911 call made by George Zimmerman on the night of the Martin murder.

We can definitely note that he tells the dispatcher the victim is black, without being asked. The statement about Martin's race comes after he describes that he “looks like he is up to no good.”

If you listen to the actual recording, it appears that the editing takes his words out of context, even placing some phrases in front of others.

The defendant's attorney describes it as “splicing together disparate parts of the recording to create the illusion of statements that Zimmerman never actually made."

However it seems to me that the 911 operator was a bit quick to jump to the question about race. “Is he black or hispanic?,” he asks.

Don't hesitate to give us your thoughts on whether or not Zimmerman was made out to appear racist.
