The American country singer George Strait got a "Hot Shot Debut" in The Billboard 200, getting the No.1 spot with his album "Somewhere Down In Texas", ending Coldplay's three-week reign with "X&Y."
Strait's new album sold 245,000 copies in its first week of release, good enough for the top spot and marking the third consecutive No. 1 debut for Strait. The album also topped the Billboard Hot Country Albums chart.
George Harvey Strait, born May 18, 1952, holds second place for most all time number one hits, second only to Elvis.
The Ying Yang Twins' "U.S.A.: United States of Atlanta" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 followed by Coldplay's album, which fell to No. 3 and Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" to No. 4.
"I'm a Hustla" by Cassidy, debuted at No. 5.
The Black Eyed Peas' "Monkey Business," the Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor," Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," Gwen Stefani's "Love, Angel, Music, Baby," and Toby Keith's "Honkytonk University" rounded out the top 10.
