14 DAY TRIAL // For all those of you wondering how come George Clooney finally decided to settle down after years of saying he would not marry again, here’s a theory that might appeal to the skeptic in you: he’s considering running for President in the next elections and he knew he couldn’t do it as a bachelor.
Clooney, aka Hollywood’s most handsome and coveted bachelor, proposed to international law attorney Amal Alamuddin a couple of months ago, after dating only for a short while. Rumor has it they’re in a rush to get married and that they have already set a September or October date.
While reports say that, for the first time in many years, George finally feels like he’s met his dream woman who is the perfect combination of beauty and brains, Radar Online hints at a much more sinister (or calculated, at the very least) reason for the engagement: he needs her for his campaign.
Clooney is already close to the US President Barack Obama and, in between their meetings and his various other humanitarian campaigns, he decided that he could do a lot more good for the country if he ran for office.
“He has big ambitions and aims to get into politics immediately,” an insider said. “He hopes to join the Democrats’ 2016 election campaign,” the source reveals for the publication.
Amal will be by his side throughout the campaign. Moreover, adds another source, she will play an “important” part in it, and will receive a lot of focus. “Now [that] he has Amal by his side, it will give him more credibility to run for office,” the tipster explains.
Even if he didn’t choose her because he needed a brilliant woman by his side in the upcoming elections, George couldn’t have picked a better lady to share the rest of his life with. The British Amal is very educated but also very beautiful; she also has a reputation on her own, having taken WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as her client and worked as a United Nations adviser for some time.
Assuming there is no truth about the above report, we’re only left with the other, more romanticized accounts to pay attention to: insiders tell the tabs that George is madly in love with Amal, a woman he idolizes and respects like he’s done with none of his previous girlfriends. They share humanitarian goals and political views, but also a love for traveling and art.
They will be married in the fall at a secluded location, after Clooney decided his villa at Lake Cuomo was not safe. Reports online claim that the Hollywood star has plans to sell his home in Los Angeles and move to London for good, this way allowing Amal to continue her work as before.
