George Clooney's house from Italy was invaded by two drunk Belgians, by simply pressing the intercom and saying: 'Ciao - it's George.'
The two intruders, Tim Grobben, 31, and Ben Stinkens, 21, after a few couple of drinks in a bar, thought is will be funny to go to the actor's residence, at the £4 million house at Laglio on Lake Como, to play a joke on the security guards.
The were really surprised when, after pressing the intercom and saying 'Ciao - it's George,' the doors opened. The two Belgians were found later by the security bodyguards wandering into the ornate gardens and taken to a nearby police station where they were questioned.
They were later released without charge, but they still can be charged by Clooney under Italian law with 'violating a domicile'.
Yesterday, the Belgian intruders' lawyer Davide Bartulli, said: 'They were amazed when the gate opened.
'It was a bit like the story of Aladdin where he says, 'Open Sesame' to the cave door and it opens. 'My clients meant no harm - it was just the end of a very drunken evening. I hope George Clooney sees there was no malice intended.'
And he added: 'I hope he will let the matter drop.
