George Clooney still seems the ultimate celebrity bachelor but chances are this will change very soon. A new unconfirmed report says that he's bound to propose to his current girlfriend Stacy Keibler any time now. Before Stacy, George dated Italian television personality Elisabetta Canalis, with various reports claiming that he more or less dumped her when she started giving interviews about marriage and kids.
Admittedly, Stacy too is dreaming of one day marrying the handsome Hollywood star but, this time, George might just take the leap, Star magazine writes in its latest print issue (story via
CB).
Sources close to the couple claim that the first signs indicating that George is thinking of something more than he currently has with Stacy are already here: the two recently spent a few days with his parents.
They went on vacation in Europe as a family and, according to insiders, things “went off without a hitch.”
“That’s where George and Stacy first fell in love, so having their parents there was important to them,” notes one such insider.
The trip was like “the final step before George and Stacy get married. Now everyone believes a wedding is in the works!”
George's mother is also telling her son that Stacy is the one for him because she “adores” her and thinks would make an amazing wife.
“She’s the first girlfriend George has had in decades that his parents will spend time with. [George's mother] is definitely pushing him to marry Stacy – and have babies!” another source is quoted as saying.
Should George go through and propose, Stacy would say yes – but she has no plans of pressuring him into that as Elisabetta once did, the report goes on to mention.
“Stacy isn’t just George Clooney’s professional girlfriend. She has her own career [and] he’s looking to settle down, and he wants to marry Stacy,” the spy concludes by saying.
