14 DAY TRIAL // Only half-joking, George Clooney once said that his first experience with married life was enough to make him understand that it wasn’t for him. He might have spoken too soon, because he hadn’t yet met the right woman, according to a new report.
Yes, you read that right: George Clooney, aka Hollywood’s hottest bachelor, will probably be going off the market soon, because he’s seriously pondering a future with his new lover, Oxford-educated lawyer Amal Alamuddin, whom he started dating just recently.
The two seemed to confirm rumors of a romance by going on a Safari together, and insiders say for the latest print issue of Star (quotes via CB) that it was then that it became clear just how enamored George was.
Alamuddin specializes in human rights and most recently made headlines for accepting to be the attorney of WikiLeaks founder (and controversial public figure) Julian Assange. Her exotic beauty didn’t pass unnoticed so, when she and George were spotted coming out together of a movie theater where his latest film, “The Monuments Men,” the media quickly put 2 and 2 together and concluded they must be an item.
It turns out they were and, moreover, that, this time, it’s more than just a fling on George’s part. During the safari, the tab says, he could be seen acting “like a nervous teenager as he smiled and slipped his arm around” Amal, looking at her as if she was the only woman in the world for him.
And that she is, because he’s just come to realize that she could be the woman with whom to grow old: besides her good looks, he is completely taken with her wittiness and sense of humor, and he loves that they can talk for hours without getting bored.
“George can’t get enough of Amal. He’s very attracted to her and loves how smart and successful she is. He loves their intellectual conversations. He knows she’s a keeper and won’t do anything to risk screwing this up. If things keep going well, he’ll definitely propose,” an insider says for the publication.
Considering his dating record, he is able to compare and, thus, appreciate Amal even more as the woman he’s been waiting for all along. Star writes that Clooney’s “last three girlfriends were a WWE star, an Italian TV hostess and a Vegas cocktail waitress,” referring to Stacy Keibler, Elisabetta Canalis and Sarah Larsen.
