14 DAY TRIAL // Since the news got out that George Clooney, Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, was getting married, people and the press have been speculating many things about his fiancée, his engagement ring, the wedding and, of course, the prenup.
Tabloid magazine Star claims to have the lowdown on Clooney's prenup, which, it says, is going to be “ironclad.” It will have to be, seeing as how Amal is an attorney, and a brilliant one at that, so she'll be able to find even the smallest loophole and exploit it to the maximum, were she to wish it.
According to the tabloid, “The actor, who popped the question to Amal Alamuddin in April after six months of dating, is protecting his estimated $200 million [€143.8 million] fortune with an ironclad prenup.”
It says that Geoge is willing to “add millions to Amal’s settlement chunk each year the pair are married.” For those that keep up with celebrity news, that's exactly what Kanye West also reportedly did with his prenup, offering Kim one million dollars for every year of marriage together.
The reason for that is that “George has had so many friends go through hell because of a split,” according to an insider, who also adds, “He just wants to make sure that doesn’t happen to him if, God forbid, he and Amal break up.”
It's good that George is being cautious about his money, but it's hard to believe that he's already scared of Amal's legal skills. The report is also busted by Gossip Cop, which claims to have spoken with a source close to Clooney, and the person in question says there is “no truth” in the report “in any way, shape or form.”
We have previously reported that George is not only head over heels about Amal, but he was also willing to fight for her, proving to her family that he was worthy of her. She comes from an intellectual family in Lebanon, with many achievements along the years, so George had his work cut out for him.
There have also been rumors regarding the fact that the couple's humanitarian work is making Angelina Jolie jealous, since she wants her and Brad Pitt to be the famous Hollywood couple known for their humanitarian work. That too seems a little farfetched, but the same report says that Angelina is feeling threatened by Amal and telling everyone that George is rushing things.
