George Clooney might come off as the kind of guy who is a laid back prankster, but when it comes to serious things like getting married, the man all of a sudden becomes a control freak. Since his wedding was this weekend, reports are beginning to come in about his methods of keeping the event away from the media.

The Mirror reports that Clooney made every guest at the wedding leave their cell phone in the hotel room and security was required to check if the guests had conformed to the order. Instead, guests were given phones with a prepaid card and a code.

Guests were told to leave their phones in their rooms, were given access codes to the wedding

If, by any chance, you forgot to bring along your Clooney-issued phone and code, then you could not attend the wedding, since the code in question also doubled up as an access code for the wedding. This all seems very high tech, but the fact of the matter is that it's a very good way to keep tabs on who gets in and who doesn't – a lot better than regular, run-of-the-mill guest lists.

And because he also wanted his wedding immortalized from all angles, the actor is said to have given to guests cameras to capture the magic moment. By now, many of you are thinking that this is the best way to make some serious money.

Imagine yourself at the Clooney wedding, where the press has been forbidden access, and you, with a camera in your hands, knowing those photos would be worth potentially millions. Sounds tempting, right? Wrong.

Cameras gifted to guests held special tracing codes to prevent selling photos to the media

Ever the clever cookie, George only issued cameras that had special codes attached to them so that in the event of a photo being sold to the press, the code would indicate who sold the photo in question. Basically, it was a foolproof way of tracing your guests.

But it wasn't all Draconian rules at the wedding. The couple also decided to gift everyone who showed up at the event with an iPod that contained the couple's favorite music, as well as speaker so they would be able to enjoy their new music in the privacy of their hotel room.

Granted, when your guest list included Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Cindy Crawford and Anna Wintour, the iPod doesn't sound like such a lavish gift anymore, does it?

In the end, it's nice to know that Clooney is such a technology-savvy individual who knows how to use it to his advantage.
