Canadian exclusive distributor for Gitzo products Gentec International has recently announced a new line of Gitzo tripod bags as well as an upgrade to current tripod heads, which includes a new quick-release system compatible with Arca-Swiss style plates.

The new tripod bags are redesigned using tough ripstop fabric that gives increased resistance to abrasion and tearing and is also softer to the touch. The new bags are designed to fit the latest tripod models from the Italian manufacturer and come with a few new features.

Gitzo GC1101 and GC3101 are ideal for the company's Mountaineer series tripods when using standard photo heads. Moreover, the bags have a cylindrical form and detachable shoulder strap for increased comfort. These models are now available for purchase at a suggested retail price of $109.95 / €81 and $134.95 / €100, respectively.

Gitzo's Systematic tripod series can now be carried around using the newly designed GC4101 and GC5101 bags that come with increased space for larger heads, thanks to their asymmetric form. The bags have a fixed shoulder strap and can be yours for $154.95 / €115 and $189.95 / €140, respectively.

In addition to these four models, Gitzo also released two other bags designed for the Traveler tripod series (GC1202T and GC2202T) that can be purchased for $74.95 / €55 and $89.95 / €66, respectively.

Besides that, the company also introduced a new, easy to use quick-release system that offers failsafe support for your equipment and fast setup whenever needed. The system also comes with a secondary safety pin that will keep your camera locked on the tripod even if the plate locking mechanism is not engaged.

The new Gitzo quick-release system comes with a wide range of compatible tripod heads, including: three standard center ball heads, a Systematic head, two Traveler center ball heads and two Traveler tripod kits. You can find out more about these tripod heads from the official press release.
