Features faithful x86 PC virtualization enabled by the Vancouver VMM

Genode, an operating system framework that extends existing kernels and provides a uniform API for applications, in now at version 11.11.

Genode 11.11 brings new features, like support for user-level debugging and the ability to run complex interactive UNIX applications on Genode.

The developers also explained that  device-driver support has been improved, especially for ARM platforms, improvements ranging from improved build to system performance, a reduce kernel-memory footprint for NOVA, querying and manipulating remote threadsa, and a new IPC implementation for Linux.

Now there's even a new tool-chain based on GCC 4.6.1, especially for Genode developers. Genode 11.11 contains the results of the exploration work about virtualization, paravirtualization, OS-level virtualization, and application-level virtualization.
