It would appear that gamers and enthusiasts have a new toy to play with in terms of audio, as Genius figured it would put the meaning of its name to good use and create a new, 4-piece speaker system.

The world of audio solutions is one populated by many sorts of speakers, headphones, headsets, sound cards, etc.

Like all other segments of the IT market, it is composed of objects of a wide variety, since the target consumer base is, likewise, composed of different sorts of people.

When making a speaker set or system, or anything of the sort, companies have to decide what features to include and how to optimize it based on user needs and finances.

Fortunately, creativity isn't really dampened by this, considering the existence of that group of consumers known as enthusiasts.

Enthusiasts are end-users that don't mind paying whatever it takes as long as they get a high-quality, aesthetically-pleasing device that does its job well.

For audio systems, this means that the subwoofer and satellites have to be not just capable of crisp, clear sound, but also intricately designed.

Genius did its best to meet these requirements when it created the SW-G2.1 1250 speaker system, whose combined output power is of 38W.

It has three satellites of 9W each, plus a 5.25-inch subwoofer with ultra-rigid MDF board cabinet, for resonant bass. The satellites have magnetically-shielded cones.

On the control box, Genius put a pair of RCA jacks, plus microphone and headphone ports, plus volume and bass dials.

Finally, Genius threw in a universal switching power supply (voltage 100~240V) and dual input jacks for PC, TV, DVD, Game devices.

The official product page of the Genius G2.1 1250 can be found here and online stores should already have it up for order, in the US and Canada, for $70.
