Keyboards come in many varieties, but the underlying principle is the same on them all. That's why Genius put extra effort into the design of the SlimStar T8020: it wanted it to stand out.

The company essentially turned it into a hybrid between a wireless keyboard and a touchpad.

The touchpad is the numeric pad on the user's right. It can act as a numpad, a touchpad with Windows 8 gesture support (slide, swipe, swipe from four edges, zoom in/out, and page up/down) and a pad that simply controls the mouse cursor.

To change from one mode to one of the other two, all it takes is a press of the MODE key.

Speaking of keys, the SlimStar T8020 has the regular key set, plus 11 function keys.

A 2.4 GHz USB pico receiver links the peripheral and the PC. Find more info on the product page. The price is $44.90 / €35.17 – 44.90.
