Genius has launched a tablet of a sort that existed prior to the emergence of media slates.

Unlike media slates, which are essentially media player/PC hybrids in a small form factor, the Genius EasyPen M406WE is a 4 x 6 inch (101 x 152 mm) graphics design tablet.

That means it has hardware and software geared towards drawing with the battery-free cordless pen (1024 pressure levels) or the fingertips.

The resolution is of 2,5690 lines per inch (LPI) and the report rate per second (RPS) of 125.

The full list of features is found here, but there are a few assets that we consider more important.

One is the 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, while another is the support for three AAA batteries (recharged via USB cable). Thirdly, Genius included four utility buttons on the left (Eraser, Undo, New Layer & Brush), plus support for using the aforementioned pen as a mouse.
