Genius may have shown off a certain, audio-focused Bluetooth device, but its product releases did not stop there, nor did its experiments with wireless connectivity not that this comes as a surprise.

Wireless technologies really are getting used in force recently, though this is hardly surprising, considering that it is the start of September and, thus, IFA 2011 is about to start.

Indeed, even though the actual event in Berlin, Germany hasn't even kicked off, there has already formed a strong flow of news.

Genius did not release its latest Bluetooth device because of this occasion (the announcement was made in Taiwan).

The headphone-equipped item is, nonetheless, bound to score sales thanks to actually having the ability to link to any Bluetooth-equipped multimedia source within a certain range.

Apparently, the company has another thing in store for its prospective customers, particularly those from the PC industry.

More specifically, the outfit designed a wireless mouse, though Bluetooth is not the solution employed in this case.

Instead, the DX-L8000 boasts 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, whose maximum range is of 15 meters.

As for the actual mouse's performance, it is largely determined by the 1,200 dpi laser mouse and the five buttons (including the wheel).

Speaking of the wheel, it is a so-called flying wheel for 'hyper scroll document browsing', obviously implying a smooth image viewing and editing experience.

This report also mentions that Genius gave the mouse a rubber coating, to make sure that one can't easily lose one's grip on it.

Finally, the BlueEye technology allows tracking on a variety of surfaces, even dusty glass if there is really no alternative (regular optical and laser mice don't work well on non-matte surfaces or even glossy ones, since reflection causes problems).

Sales will commence soon, if they aren't already underway, for the price of $34.90 /€34.90. One AA battery is all that is needed to keep it running.
