14 DAY TRIAL // Remember that little girl that wanted Hasbro to promote gender equality on their Easy Bake Oven wrapping? Well, it's finally here, reports say, the gender-neutral oven is heading our way.
13-year-old McKenna Pope started a petition for a female and male oriented easy-bake oven, and it seems she impressed toymakers. 25,000 people signed her petition on Change.org.
She was invited to Hasbro's HQ and they surprised her with the news that the company intends to debut a more gender-neutral color scheme for their toys, at the NY Toy Fair in February 2013. It appears they had been working on it for 18 months.
According to Wired, the product will be available to little boys, and girls, everywhere, starting next summer.
