British actress Gemma Arterton, whom fans know and love from “Quantum of Solace” and the most recent “Clash of the Titans” and “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” is officially off the market. After spending lots of time in the company of the greatest heroes, Gemma married her real-life hero, fiancé Stefano Catelli in a ceremony over the weekend, the Daily Mail informs.

Based on the pictures that have made their way online, the wedding ceremony and reception was a very small and intimate affair, complete with the romantic setting of the Spanish village basked in sunlight. The bride wore a gorgeous, classic design with a long veil in her hair and white-rose bouquet. After exchanging vows, the two, now husband and wife, left in a classic car, while guests were taken from the ruins where the ceremony took place to where the reception was held.

“The 24-year-old former Bond girl looked stunning as she arrived for the hill-top wedding on Saturday in a strapless, flowing cream gown, with a long veil pinned into her auburn hair and carrying a bouquet of trailing white roses. Miss Arterton gently stroked her new husband’s cheek as they made their vows before the newlyweds shared an intimate embrace. They were then driven away in a vintage open top car that had been bedecked with cream ribbons for the occasion. The newlyweds, who have been engaged for a year, chose to marry with only a small crowd of friends and family in attendance in the picturesque village of Zuheros in Andalucia,” the Mail says.

“Mr. Catelli, an Italian sales manager who works for a British fashion company, proposed at the Download music festival last summer. And Miss Arterton, who most recently appeared in the blockbuster Prince of Persia alongside Hollywood heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal, has been turning down work so she can enjoy a break with her new husband for a few months. Speaking about their love, Miss Arterton who starred in Bond film Quantum of Solace, said: ‘It was absolutely instant. I remember going home the night after I met him and writing in my diary that I’d met the man I’m going to marry’,” the same publication reports.

With all that, because she rarely talked about him to the media, Arterton often found herself in the tabloids with stories about romantic liaisons on the set of her most recent films. She was linked to the stuntman that taught her how to ride horses for “Prince of Persia” only months ago and, before that, to special effects technician John Nolan.
