Spanish mobile phone maker Geeksphone has finally unveiled that its recently teased Geeksphone Revolution smartphone will become available for purchase on February 20, just before the Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona.

The handset was announced a few months ago as the first smartphone in the world to offer support for Android-Firefox OS dual-boot, and it seems set to hit shelves with a price tag of €289 ($395) attached to it.

However, as Engadget notes, Geeksphone also plans on offering the device at only €269 ($367) on its online store, as part of an early-bird sale.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile phone was made official with a 4.7-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering a qHD resolution.

Moreover, the handset will hit shelves with a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM.

Geeksphone Revolution also features 4GB of internal memory, but there’s a microSD memory card slot included in the package, which should allow users to add up to 32GB of additional storage space to it.

The handset will hit shelves with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, capable of video recording in HD resolution, as well as with a 2MP front camera, which should make it easy for users to make video calls while on the go.

The specs list of this device also includes a WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, support for HSDPA up to 21Mbps, HSUPA up to 5.76Mbps, and a built-in GPS receiver.

Geeksphone Revolution is powered by a 2000mAh battery, which should offer enough juice for long usage times.

Overall, Geeksphone Revolution is only a mid-range smartphone, though the fact that it will be able to run both Android and Firefox OS should make it a great option for a lot of users out there. Keep an eye on this space for additional info on the handset’s availability.
