As Gears of War has become the most played Xbox Live game, rumors come out that Microsoft Game Studios are planning out this third-person shooter to be a trilogy. I guess this is a smart move on behalf of Microsoft as Gears of War registered a large audience success, selling
over one million units worldwide.

In a GameDaily interview, a Microsoft representative, Jeff Bell, nearly confirmed that Geears of Wars is part of a three-games series. He referred to a TV advertisement, which was contested by some. Bell declared that the goal of this advertisement is to "establish Marcus Fenix as the hero of the Gears of War trilogy". Yap, TRILOGY! Then he added that Microsoft, by this ad, intended to create an emotional connection between the audience and Fenix.

If you didn't know, Marcus Fenix is the front-man of Gears of Wars, the husky dude on the games' cover. He leads a team of human dwellers of the planet Sera who are fighting the Locust Horde. He is voiced by John DiMaggio a well known voice actor, who also plays Futurama's Bender. Marcus Fenix is a courageous soldier who has earned many promotions and decorations during the Pendulum Wars.
