The next Gears of War game for the Xbox One coming from Microsoft's Black Tusk Studios has just received some more details via a few different job listings, confirming that it will have a fresh visual style and that its online mode is powered by the Microsoft Azure cloud system.

Gears of War became one of the most popular exclusive franchises on the Xbox 360 over the years, delivering some great third-person shooter action thanks to developer Epic Games.

For the Xbox One, it seemed that Epic was content with keeping the franchise on standby in order to work on other projects, but Microsoft soon struck a deal to acquire the series and give it to one of its internal teams, in the form of Black Tusk Studios.

Now, after revealing that the studio is hard at work on the next Gears of War game for the Xbox One, Microsoft has posted a series of job listings, via DualShockers, through which it inadvertently confirms quite a few different features and plans for the title.

First up, all listings confirm that the Black Tusk team is creating the future of the Gears of War intellectual property and pushing the limits of Microsoft's "entertainment platforms and devices" while delighting the fans and shattering their expectations of what's possible within the franchise.

The game will have "bleeding edge new rendering techniques to deliver best in class visuals" and "high performance real time graphics features and effects" will be used by the new title.

DirectX 12 might also be employed by the title, meaning it will be able to better take advantage of the Xbox One hardware, thanks to the highly optimized technology.

Apparently, a visual style for the series hasn't been agreed upon, as Black Tusk is looking for an art director who will coordinate the environments, characters, cinematics, concept art, lighting, animation, effects, and user interface departments. The best candidate needs to have experience with working on a broad spectrum of styles, ranging from photo-realistic to highly stylized, as the art style of the Gears of War franchise is still being decided.

Innovative new gameplay features are also needed, according to the listings, and potential engineers must be experienced with cooperative gameplay, meaning it's quite certain that the new Gears of War will retain its emphasis on squad-based actions.

The multiplayer overall requires programmers with experience using Microsoft's Azure cloud system, meaning the new game will most definitely use the power of the cloud to develop its online experience.

As of yet, however, Microsoft and Black Tusk are still keeping the Gears of War on Xbox One project under a tight veil of secrecy.
