Gears of War: Judgment, the new third-person shooter that's out this week on the Xbox 360, features microtransactions that lets owners of the game pay real money for double XP bonuses.

Microtransactions have generated a huge debate in recent months with lots of gamers accusing companies like EA of exploiting them even if they paid for the actual games.

Now, it seems that Gears of War: Judgment, the third-person shooter that's out today, March 19, in North America, and on Friday, March 22, in Europe, also features microtransactions.

More specifically, according to CVG, owners of the game can pay for double XP boosts for a certain number of matches.

As such, players can get double XP in ten games for 80 MS Points, in 50 matches for 320 MS Points, 100 for 560, and 200 for 800 MS.

Don't forget that those who get the Gears of War: Judgment Season Pass, worth 1600 MS Points receive a permanent double XP boost.

Leveling up in Judgment's multiplayer gives owners access to new weapon and character skins so there's no performance gain.
