Gears of War 2 was a game backed up quite heavily by both its developer, Epic Games, and its publisher, Microsoft. It was the sequel to one of the best-selling titles made for the Xbox 360 and at the time it was released it was already enjoying a very massive and loyal fan base that would surely buy it.

However, although Gears of War 2 sold extremely well, managing to move over 4 million units in just a few months, fans didn't really like what they'd received. The game, despite the fact that it managed to offer a solid single player, didn't really shine on its most important aspect, the multiplayer mode. The online mode was plagued with a lot of bugs and glitches, and the matchmaking system sent players to some very laggy servers.

Now it seems that things might take a turn for the better, as Epic Games and Microsoft have just released the second title update for this game onto the Xbox Live online system. Gears of War 2 will automatically update when you start it up and a lot of its problems, glitches and exploits will be resolved thanks to this new title update. Here are the most important fixes and you can find the full changelog on the official forum of the game.

Exploit Fixes: Crabwalking, invisibility, weapon-slide, melee through walls, unlimited ammo. General Fixes: Shotgun and Boomshot updates, meatshield chainsawing updates, team communication, Insane gamer pic award. Balancing: Planted proximity grenade updates, increased quitting penalties, spawn protection, flamethrower stopping power. Improvements: Annex uses execution rules, achievement progression in the War Journal, added 7 DLC-based achievements worth 175 gamerscore.

In conclusion, it seems that finally Gears of War 2 will address all the user complaints and will guarantee a solid multiplayer experience in order to make it more similar to the first game, which became so popular with players all around the world.
