Gears of War 2 is a very massive game, largely due to the fact that it is the successor to one of the most popular games ever launched for the Xbox 360. Promising to bring back the same gory fights from the first game, only with a more developed story and characters, the title is set to become one of the best-selling games this holiday season.

The game broke pre-order records and was extremely well received by fans a week ago, when it was officially launched. Although a couple of bugs appeared, Epic has ensured us that they will be fixed and that an excellent shooter experience will be delivered to us. With a compelling single player campaign, a solid co-op experience and an excellent multiplayer mode, the game is sure to keep people playing for quite some time.

Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of the Gears of War franchise, has recently talked about this new game and stressed the importance of the co-op mode. He went on saying that co-op had become much more than just helping your friend get to a higher position or anything like that; Gears of War 2 would employ different types of puzzles and other features that are sure to offer players an excellent co-op experience.

"In Gears 2 co-op, we've got some cool puzzles that take advantage of co-op. The crane you saw at E3, in the real version of that level, Dom gets in the crane and Marcus pilots it to maneuver Dom around. It's a bit like the spotlight levels from Gears 1. There's another part where Dom and Marcus have to carry a huge bomb between them, and it's like watching two guys wearing a donkey suit – in co-op, if one player goes the wrong way it messes things up, and both players are blasting at Wretches with pistols. There are some co-op driving moments, and there's another vehicle scenario where Marcus and Dom each ride Reavers. That's a co-op experience."

These are some really interesting facts that are sure to make all of the Gears of War fans happy. It's really nice to hear that developers are putting their best efforts into developing great games that offer players entertaining experiences.
