Yeah that fish level can be hard to understand. Switch to the pistol as it has more power than the lancer. Only way I found to take out the tenticles inside the fishes mouth.

I think the multiplayer shotgun should be fixxed or at least the chainsaw. The chainsaw never gets stunned by the shotgun and it makes it so cheap. The Shotgun is alot slower shooting to. About 80% of the people i talked to said this game was a disappointment because of those reasons.

Gears of War 2 is a good game when it comes on the details, they are well remastered. But there are some problems with the multiplayer which they dissapoint me which is the shotgun as people say, and also the matchmaking which really sucks that automatically it joins me in to laggin rooms that i can not even enjoy playing and the worst part is that i cant leave the room, about 70% of the rooms that i have join are lagging rooms which pisses me off!!!!

Campaign was good. However matchmaking is terribly slow, the shotgun fires way to slow, and the chainsaw is invincible. Please fix

i think that the game is awesome,graphics are better but they really should have left the multiplayer the way gears 1 is because now the shotgun is ruined wich was one of the things that make the game badass,the simple fact that you can not use the shotgun as much as in gears 1 because lancer is better makes the game a total disapointment,for me watching all those bunches of meat flying allover the place by shooting with the shootgun was like the best thing of the game,im not saying you can't do that on gears 2 but the shotgun was like your primary weapon in gears 1 but now its all messed up and i'm not talking about the matchmaking wich sucks too.

If it had not been for some rumors saying that there would be a major update to Gears I was going to trade mine in just for store credit and I paid for the Limited Edition. I love a lot of things about it but hate even more. I hope that they will make the shotgun better and at least let me choose my own room during public matches instead of forcing me to play with a host who lives overseas and makes me play in a laggy room. I also wish Fuel Depot was on here cuz it was an excellent map. I've actually gone back to Gears One and I'm gonna stay there until they fix 2.

The campaign is great as always just the multiplayer has been ruined do to the shotgun being slower and powerful 1 minute and weak the next...the chainsaw for some reason can never get stunned... for some reason the creator believed ppl acually liked the chainsaw in part 1 but it was acually the gayest weapon in the mind of a really good player so they decided to make it amazing... this game is ruined and i already returned it cuz i kno there not gona fix it..

I love the campaign. It was awesome, though the ending was kinda... iunno. Anyways, my complaints/concerns are pretty much the same as everyone else. The lancer became way too powerful, and the shotgun has been weakened to the point of being ridiculous. A guy just comes at you with a chainsaw, and point-blank shotgun shots don't even phase them. The matchmaking take forever, and that voting thing is kind of gay... why can't I just choose execution and find all the execution games available rather than wait for 9 other people to vote for it? Same goes for the map. Also, what happened to switching out weapons on the stages? Every game I went in, all the weapons are set at default, and everyone just grab the mortar. Alright Gears1 host advantage suck, but at least the game was fun. The way Gears2 is now, it's not even fun. Basically fix the matchmaking, fix the game creation options, balance out the weapons (LANCER IS TOO POWERFUL), and side-note... what's with the wimpy B-button execution?

Much agreeing with a lot of these comments..I really liked the campaign..horde was a great time too.. but as far as the multiplayer..the amount of bugs and things that need to be tweaked and fixed is outrageous.. But more than anything I miss my shotgun. In every public match i've played, I am not able to blindfire my shotgun. Every shot I fire from the hip goes straight to ground by my characters feet..and i'm aiming higher than normal..I even aim TO THE SKY and maybe if i'm lucky, my shot will hit someones knees. The shotgun needs to be fixed, as well as the chainsaw.. I really hope they bring back the old shotgun from gears 1..because that's what I miss the most..that's what made gears 1 so fun and juicy.


Perhaps you could decrease the radius on the wall grenades..or at least the sensetivity to where you're practically humping it rather than seeing it from across the screen and having it blow up and kill you..

all in all gears 2 multiplayer has a LOT of potential.. the additions and the ideas are absolutely awesome and should be enjoyed the way it should be..but unless there's going to be a patch anytime soon, i dont see myself sticking to gears 2 multiplayer.

And this is all coming from someone who really gave this game a chance.

Ok i agree with the decreasing the power of the shotgun but why make it shoot slower that makes no sense and also like everyone else has already said the chainsaw is invincible people walk through shotgun shots without being stunned but a melee will make them stun, that makes no sense and the true skill system doesn't make sense either, everytime i play a game the people are always ranked lower than me. I'm at the fourth rank but how am i expected to go up if every game i play i'm expected to win by the system? So basically i'm just playing to keep my fourth rank it doesn't seem exactly fair but that is just my opionion epic did a good job with the game overall but these issues need to be adressed as quick as possible

OK If i was the last person alive in gears of war O.G edition (thats 1) I could see myself killing all four of them with my wall bouncing and shotty accuracy. now thats impossible i hate the shotty it dont work well against any other weapon in gears 2 unless you got a wall to hide on.. take out the fact that you slow down when getting lancered please or a least just let it stun u for like a quarter of a second

I was sooooo excited for Gears of War 2. The campaign was great, but when I started playing Multiplayer I was like WHAT HAPPENED!!??? I don't like the new menu system for multiplayer, we don't get to choose our map or amount of rounds anymore? This isn't Halo or COD, this is gears of war. The multiplayer in gears of war 1 was on a league of its own. What happened to the shotgun? What was once the most fun weapon in the game that required skill is not useless. The multiplayer game play has been slowed, the shotgun is slow and weak, and the lancer is just unstoppable. Even the lancer bullets are slower now whats up with that? Please bring back the old shotgun and please fix the multiplayer menus. Its just not a fun "badass" game anymore. I have to go back to playing gears of war 1 multiplayer

Why do I need to find a whole new group of players once a game has ended why not go back to the lobby with the same players and start a new game?
Plus if people drop off during the game they dont get replaced and you just get smashed.

whilst im playing the gears of war game i get kicked off the game of no fault of my own. it pleads clean disc error so i clean and clea and clean the game. i have even been back to the shop to get a replacement but yet it still happens can anyone tell me if it happens to them and wot do i need to cure it. is it because i have the arcade xbox (no hard drive) or is there somthing else im missing
