Randy Pitchford, the leader of developer Gearbox, says that he is investigating why the quality of Aliens: Colonial Marines as it was delivered to players was below the quality of the demos that were shown before the game was launched.

Speaking on his official Twitter account, the developer states, “That is understood and fair and we are looking at that.”

He adds, “I have always profited from criticism and, thankfully, I have never been in short supply.”

The studio leader is also asking gamers to refrain from threats and insults and has been blocking those who don’t offer anything constructive to the discussion about Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Aliens: Colonial Marines has been widely criticized after launch and many claim that Gearbox did not actually handle most of the development work on the game.

Despite all its flaws, I quite like the multiplayer aspect of the game.
