The development team at Gearbox says that all those who are taking part in the Gear Up event for its shooter Borderlands 2 will have extra time with it because of a number of issues that have been reported with the Xbox 360 patch that was launched yesterday.

The update was required in order to prepare Borderlands 2 for the launch of the new downloadable content pack, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, which introduces new content and new quests for faithful fans.

The official Gearbox Twitter account states, “We'll be extending today's Gear Up event due to the Compatibility Pack issues on Xbox 360 - we'll share details once that's resolved.”

The developer then said that it was working closely with platform holder Microsoft in order to solve the problem, but failed to say when it might be eliminated.
