According to the latest details in the industry, several of NVIDIA's AIC partners are expected to showcase some new GeForce graphics cards at this year's CeBIT computer show, in Hannover, Germany. Some of these new cards will use new GPUs, part of NVIDIA's latest GT200-series of graphics processing units. Other new cards will be based on that latest GeForce GTX 260 GPU, which uses a newer PCB design, focused on delivering a card that is more energy efficient.

The latest rumors come to confirm earlier details according to which the Santa Clara, California-based graphics chip maker is planning the release of a series of new graphics cards, based on the company's latest 55nm GT200 graphics processor. Also, there are some rumors that point to a 40nm GeForce graphics processing unit, slated for a possible release later this year. However, until such news are confirmed, the new cards expected to be showcased at the CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany could be just days away.

According to details made available by vr-zone, some of the new GeForce graphics card models, slated to be showcased at CeBIT, include the GeForce GTS 240, GTS 250 and the GT218-based graphics cards. Aside from the aforementioned models, partners will also debut the GeForce 9600GT and GSO “Green Edition” and the GeForce 9800GT “Green” Edition. Unfortunately, at this time there are no details regarding the specific technical specifications of said cards.

In related news, NVIDIA partner Inno3D designed a new card, which is based on the GTX 260 GPU and is augmented by a Freezer X2 cooler, using DHT technology. The card is said to use a 6-phase power design and that three heatpipes of the cooler come in direct contact with the GPU itself. The system, which also boasts two fans, provides an effective cooling solution.
