Gauntlet: Dark Legacy Hints V (PS2)

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy is a video game that was developed by Midway Games West, Inc. and was published by Midway Games, Inc., a publisher that has since disappeared, with most assets taken over by Warner Bros.

The game was launched on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony, the original Xbox from Microsoft, the Game Cube and the Game Boy.

It was released during May 2001.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Generals and Golems

To defeat a General or Golem without spending money or using an item, when you run into creates, go behind a wall or barrier of some sort that you can shoot over. Then, use your slow attack multiple times.

Defeating Guardians

Save a lot of treasure (about 3,000 gold). Buy Hammers with it. This will give you a very long lasting Hammer that will almost kill whatever Guardian you fight. It is also difficult for them to hit you while you are attacking with this Hammer. Hammers also work best for beating on anything you cannot take down without taking a lot of damage.

Defeating Gargoyles

Find or buy three or four hammers. Run up to it and press X. If you do not want to spend money, shoot it with your slow attack. Stand far enough away so that it does not get you when it sprays acid, lightning, or fire, Once it sprays acid, lightning, or fire, run in one direction then quickly in another. Its attack will miss you.

Character combo

Tap Quick Attack (default is X) two to three times, then Strong Attack (default is Triangle) to do a special one or two hit combination hit after the normal attacks are done. These combos do more damage than regular attack and are useful against mini-Bosses or Bosses who are in short-range distance (the Spider Queen, Lich, etc.).
